About the Role:

The Materials Clerk supports Thomas Global Systems' operations by maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficient control and movement of aircraft parts, components, and materials. This role performs inventory transactions, monitors stock levels, assists with cycle counts, and helps maintain material traceability to support production and repair activities. Working within FAA Part 145, EASA, and AS9100 regulatory requirements, the Materials Clerk follows established procedures to ensure inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and a clean, safe, and organized work environment.


Location: Irvine, CA, fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Inventory Support: Maintain accurate inventory levels for avionics components by processing transactions, monitoring stock, and supporting established inventory control processes.
    • Inventory Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate personnel of low stock or replenishment needs in accordance with established planning parameters.
    • Inventory Maintenance: Assist with monitoring excess, obsolete, or aging inventory and report concerns to management for review and disposition.
    • Work-in-Process (WIP) Support: Monitor material movement through production and report delays or discrepancies that may impact workflow.
    • Shortage Reporting: Identify material shortages and communicate issues to Procurement, Planning, or supervisors to support timely resolution.
    • Inventory Reporting: Prepare routine inventory reports and assist in tracking key inventory metrics such as shortages, cycle counts, and WIP status.
    • System Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory records and process material transactions in the ERP/MRP system in accordance with established procedures.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Follow inventory control procedures that support FAA, EASA, and AS9100 requirements and assist with internal and external audits as needed.
    • Cross-Functional Support: Work cooperatively with Procurement, Production, Engineering, and Quality to ensure timely movement and availability of materials.
    • Process Improvement Participation: Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate suggestions to management.
    • Team Support: Assist stockroom operations and provide support to coworkers as needed to ensure efficient daily operations.
    • Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.


        Required Skills, Experience and Behaviors:

          • Minimum 4 years' experience in aerospacelogistics, inventory control, material handling, or supply chain operations.
          • Working knowledge of FAA Part 145 requirements, AS9100 standards, and aerospace traceability and documentation practices.
          • Ability to interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, engineering drawings, and revision-controlled documentation.
          • Experience usingExcel andERP/MRP systems for inventory transactions, kitting, and material tracking.
          • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, anda high levelof accuracy in a regulated environment.
          • Experience in aerospace manufacturing, repair, assembly, avionics, orcomponentlogisticspreferred.
          • Supply chain,logistics, or quality-related certifications (e.g., APICS/ASCM)are preferred.
          • Exposure to lean or continuous improvement practices such as 5S or Kanbanis preferred.
          • Confirmed NEGATIVE results for drug and alcohol testing in compliance with 14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40.

          Compensation range of $30 - $34 per hour depending on experience. The final pay offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to location, skill set; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.
