Our strip-casting machines integrate mechanical, electrical, thermal, and automation systems to produce materials used in automotive structural components, aluminum foil, lead-acid batteries, and copper wiring. We design, manufacture, and assemble our machines in-house and are committed to fostering the development and long-term growth of our employees.


POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Global Supply Chain Manager to lead and transform our purchasing and procurement organization. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing Purchasing Associates and Buyers while driving supplier development, cost reduction, sourcing strategy, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance across Hazelett's global operations.


WHAT WILL YOU DO:

  • Lead and develop Purchasing Associates and Buyers while aligning team goals, KPIs, and performance with corporate objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Finance.
  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, qualification, onboarding, and contract negotiations.
  • Expand and strengthen the supplier base for critical materials through supplier development, scorecards, and performance reviews.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, negotiations, value engineering, spend analysis, and market intelligence.
  • Establish measurable savings programs, annual cost-reduction targets, and competitive bidding strategies.
  • Manage supplier performance and supply chain risk by monitoring quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, and business continuity plans.
  • Improve procurement processes, systems, reporting, and ERP utilization while developing metrics for procurement effectiveness, cost performance, and inventory reduction.
Requirements:

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • 8+ years of progressive procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or sourcing experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing procurement teams.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, machinery, metals, or engineered products.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating supplier agreements and driving measurable cost reductions.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and material planning.
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies and supplier qualification programs.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.

The base pay range for this full-time position is $115,000–$125,000 base + up to $15,000 performance-based bonus potential. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
