Job Description

Position Overview

NBCUniversal Media Group is seeking a Manager of Strategic Communications to support external communications across our Product, Tech and Decision Sciences organizations.

This role will help shape and execute communications strategies that highlight NBCUniversal’s innovation in streaming, technology and data, bringing to life how product and tech advancements expand Peacock’s entertainment experiences and deepen audience engagement.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and curious, collaborative and creative thinker with experience in media, technology or streaming and a passion for working at the intersection of entertainment, media and technology.

Here you can:

  • Partner with the Director and SVP, Strategic Communications, NBCUniversal Media Group to develop and execute communications strategies supporting key initiatives across Product, Technology and Decision Sciences
  • Compose key communications materials, including plans, press releases, FAQs, talking points, speeches and presentations
  • Support speaking engagements and awards strategy for the Product, Tech and Decision Sciences teams, including identifying opportunities, managing calendars, drafting submissions and traveling to support executives as needed
  • Manage press inquiries in a timely manner, and build and maintain relationships with key tech, trade, business and consumer reporters and proactively research, identify and recommend new media targets
  • Collaborate seamlessly with communications colleagues, and partner with teams across the division and larger organization on major company milestones
  • Track industry trends across media, streaming and technology to inform messaging and identify opportunities
  • Manage key processes and tools, including communications calendars, timelines, SharePoint and Airtable resources and internal documentation
Qualifications

The Person

  • 5+ years of communications, PR or related roles (experience in media, entertainment, streaming and/or tech preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop smart, concise and impactful messaging
  • Solid media instincts and experience managing press relationships
  • Proven judgment and critical thinking skills in developing proactive solutions with long-term implications in mind, prioritizing key opportunities and anticipating issues
  • Calm and confident in interactions with senior executives and partners across the company
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced matrixed corporate environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Hyper-efficient self-starter with strong attention to detail and exceptional project and time management skills to handle and prioritize multiple initiatives at once and the ability to work quickly yet accurately to meet tight timelines

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 (bonus eligible)
