This positionreports to theVice President of R&Dandis part of theBeckman Life Sciences Research and Development departmentworkingremotelyto covermultiple regions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Define and execute the global software engineering strategy aligned with corporateobjectivesand R&D priorities

  • Drive adoption of modern architectures, cloud platforms, AI/ML, and emerging technologies to accelerate life sciences solutions

  • Build, lead, and mentor a diverse, high-performing engineering organization across multiple geographies

  • Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring quality, scalability, security, and compliance with industry standards

  • Partner with R&D, product management, data science, and regulatory teams to deliver integrated solutions

  • Governance & Compliance -Establishrobust processes for cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance in all software products

  • Budget & Resource Optimization - Manage global engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation to maximize ROI

The essential requirements of the jobinclude:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineeringand20+years' experiencein software engineering; orMaster's/Doctoraldegree with at least6+years in a global leadership role

  • Strong understanding of life sciences, healthcare, or regulated industries

  • Expertisein modern software architectures (microservices, cloud-native), DevOps, and data platforms

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (FDA, HIPAA, GDPR,GxP)

  • Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures

  • Ability to align technology initiatives with business goals and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders

  • Trackrecord ofdriving digital transformation and fostering innovation at scale

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel - 25% domestically and internationally

It would be a plus if you alsopossesspreviousexperience in:

  • Instrument Firmware/Software design and development

Theannualsalary rangefor this role is $200,000 - $260,000.This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range ofpossible compensationfor this role at the time of this posting. This range may bemodifiedin the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offercomprehensivepackage of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
