Job description

"I can be myself at work."

You are more than a job title. We want you to feel comfortable doing great work and bringing your best, authentic self to everything you do. We value your talents, traditions, and uniqueness-and we're committed to fostering a strong sense of belonging in a respectful workplace.

We intentionally seek diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds, investing in a culture designed to celebrate differences. We believe that belonging leads to better outcomes and a stronger community of associates united by our mission. At Capital, we live our core values every day: Integrity, Client Focus, Diverse Perspectives, Long-Term Thinking, and Community.

"I can influence my income."

You want to feel recognized at work. Your performance will be reviewed annually, and your compensation will be designed to motivate and reward the value that you provide. You'll receive a competitive salary, bonuses and benefits. Your company-funded retirement contribution will factor in salary and variable pay, including bonuses.

"I can lead a full life."

You bring unique goals and interests to your job and your life. Whether you're raising a family, you're passionate about where you volunteer, or you want to explore different career paths, we'll give you the resources that can set you up for success.

  • Enjoy generous time-away and health benefits from day one, with the opportunity for flexible work options

  • Receive 2-for-1 matching gifts for your charitable contributions and the opportunity to secure annual grants for the organizations you love

  • Access on-demand professional development resources that allow you to hone existing skills and learn new ones

"I can succeed as a Global Safety & Security Technology Manager at Capital Group."

As a member of the Global Safety and Security team reporting to Global Security leadership, you will lead the day-to-day execution of Capital Group's global physical security technology program. You will translate strategy into operational plans that protect people, assets, and facilities while aligning technology with business needs and enterprise standards.

You will lead and support Capital Group's physical security technology programs, including:

  • Overseeing daily operations, maintenance, and lifecycle management for access control, video management, alarms, intercoms, and related integrations.

  • Leading security technology projects from planning and design through deployment, testing, transition to operations, and continuous improvement.

  • Supporting Global Security Operations Center readiness by ensuring effective monitoring workflows and escalation paths.

  • Maintaining standards and documentation for consistent delivery across regions.

  • Monitoring system health and coordinating maintenance, upgrades, and issue resolution.

  • Providing escalation support during high-impact incidents and coordinating resolution with internal teams and external partners.

In this role, you will work closely with Regional Security Teams and the Global Security Operations Center to support Capital Group's physical security program. Because this is a 24/7/365 department, schedule flexibility is required.

This role partners with stakeholders across Workplace Experience, Information Security, Privacy, Legal, Engineering, and other business groups to identify issues, implement solutions, and reduce physical security risk.

You will also coordinate with global security vendors, systems integrators, and contractors to ensure service expectations, implementation standards, and program objectives are met.

In addition, you will lead and develop Security Technology associates through coaching, feedback, performance management, and day-to-day direction to drive accountability and team growth.

"I am the person Capital Group is looking for."

  • You have a bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, security technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • You have 10+ years of experience in physical security technology, security engineering, or related roles, including leading technical or operational teams.

  • You have deep knowledge of physical security systems, including access control, video management, alarms, and integrations.

  • You have experience leading cross-functional technology programs in complex enterprise environments.

  • You can lead, coach, and manage a technical delivery team while staying hands-on when needed.

  • You have experience operating within governance and compliance requirements for technology programs.

  • You have vendor and integrator management experience.

  • You can translate technical issues into clear business recommendations.

  • You have experience supporting 24/7 operations and incident response.

Please note, this position plays a critical role in leading our physical security operations, with equal emphasis on people leadership and service delivery. While familiarity with systems such as access control, video surveillance, and alarms is important, the primary focus is on leading a team, managing daily workflows, and ensuring efficient handling of service tickets in a 24/7 environment.

This is not a dedicated engineering or cybersecurity role. We are looking for a leader who can prioritize effectively, hold teams accountable, navigate service challenges, and ensure consistent system performance. Professionals with a primary focus in cybersecurity, software engineering, or non-physical security areas are less likely to find alignment with this role.
