Titan Security is hiring Security Patrol Officers in Burns Harbor, Indiana.

Duties may include:

  • Control access to the plant through gate operations, verifying credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Checking vehicle passes to make sure the vehicles are allowed on property.
  • Checking semi trucks paperwork and directing them to the proper Gate.
  • Understanding Marsec (Maritime Security) procedures.
  • Conduct Marsec vehicle inspections.
  • Conduct general patrols on foot and within a vehicle to check for security violations like unsafe conditions or unauthorized persons.
  • Control access for patrons, visitors or vendors as required.
  • Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment.
  • Maintain clear, accurate logs pertaining to people or property including packages.
  • Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management.
  • Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • Previous experience in security is preferred

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.

Preferred Certifications: NRC Certification.
