Our Claims professionals support AIG policyholders through some of the most trying times. When our clients face losses large and small, we step up to help them ease the financial burdens of catastrophic events like fires and hurricanes; we help them get their businesses back up and running again or recoup the value of a lost family heirloom or a prized possession. Our Claims team is an industry leader, drawing daily on its unparalleled levels of expertise to offer our clients the highest levels of stewardship to drive total cost of claim improvement and consistent outcomes. AIG manages claims using a wealth of technical and market knowledge about risks, business practices, and the ever-evolving legal and regulatory environment.

How you will create an impact

The Global Quality Assurance team is looking to recruit a talented individual with experience in claims handling or auditing of either TPAs or Financial Lines claims, to join our team on a permanent basis.

The primary responsibility is to perform claim file reviews to evaluate Best Practices compliance and claim handling improvement opportunities, throughout the life of a claim file, across AIG Claims. Technical and compliance reviews include Financial Lines and TPA claims across all levels of complexity, globally.

  • Complete quality reviews on all files within program guidelines while achieving and maintaining calibrated application of Line of Business best practices and claim handling expectations.

  • Organize and execute Benchmark reviews as a Team Lead; including scheduling, GQA review team oversight and results reporting.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with Line of Business partners including presentation of constructive feedback in a positive way.

  • Identification of trends and improvement opportunities with follow-up to ensure implementation of meaningful continuous improvement and/or action plan in partnership with claims.

  • Commitment to personal development and skill enhancement.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Additional language skills, desirable.

  • Proven claims experience in either handling Financial Lines LOB claims or TPA managed claims.

  • Excellent awareness of industry practices surrounding Claims Handling together with strong knowledge of subject matter and ability to apply it to the role.

  • Experience in claims analysis and audit, desirable.

  • Ability to make recommendations on action and improvement plans.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal and written Communication skills, ability to influence and to manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
