Job description

Summary:
The Business Intelligence Solution Analyst is responsible for designing end - to - end, reporting - ready data solutions that integrate data from multiple enterprise systems into trusted scalable models. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, data engineering, and BI teams, ensuring business requirements are translated into technical design specifications for integration pipelines, and governed reporting layers.
Essential Functions:
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to translate business data needs into end-to-end data process flows and integration designs.
  • Convert business concepts (KPIs, metrics, rules, hierarchies) into scalable data architecture and integration patterns.
  • Balance business requirements with technical realities, articulating tradeoffs and recommendations clearly.
  • Design dimensional and analytical data models optimized for reporting performance and usability.
  • Define standards for facts, dimensions, grain, conformed dimensions, and aggregations.
  • Ensure semantic / reporting models align with underlying curated and warehouse models.
  • Ensure reporting data is delivered through governed, certified datasets rather than ad hoc or raw data access.
  • Perform source to target mapping for data integrations, including field level lineage, transformation logic, defaults, derivations, and exception handling.
  • Produce implementation ready technical specifications that engineering teams can execute with minimal ambiguity.
  • Define validation and reconciliation approaches (counts, totals, balancing, variance thresholds) to ensure data quality for reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education.
  • 5+ years of Business Intelligence or Data Analytic experience
  • Advanced SQL skills for analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Experience designing business intelligence and analytics architecture with strong experience in ETL/ELT design and integration pipelines
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and layered/medallion architecture concepts
  • Advanced knowledge in reporting-optimized data modeling and report development (Preferably with PowerBI)
  • Experience integrating ERP data into analytic platforms (SAP S4HANA) preferred
  • Experience modernizing or evolving legacy BI/DW environments to cloud platforms preferred
  • Understanding of data governance, KPI standardization, and reporting certification practices preferred
