Responsibilities

We are looking for a Purchasing Agent & Parts Management to join our team! In this role, you will manage the purchasing, receiving, and shipping of electrical parts for our Panel Shop and Electrical Engineering. If you are passionate about inventory management and procurement, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project/job parts lists or BOMs.
  • Request quotations from preferred vendors and share with Electrical Engineering.
  • Order electrical parts and provide order acknowledgements and ETAs.
  • Provide status and cost updates for received parts on jobs/projects.
  • Support plant operations by shipping and receiving electrical parts.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory in the MTO Electrical Shop.
  • Purchase and maintain supplies for the Panel Shop.
  • Write purchase orders through Oracle.
  • Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory of electrical parts by job/project.

Qualifications

  • High School Education.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in purchasing and parts management preferred.
  • Ability to walk, bend, lift (50 lbs), kneel, and sit.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Oracle software.
  • Ability to read and understand BOMs.
  • Good communication skills to work with vendors, engineers, plant personnel, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills.
