Job description

Operations Manager
Location: Plano, TX (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: 12 + month contract to (hire + multi-extension capability)
Compensation / Bill Rate: $60.00 / hr
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic GVI Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end operational activities, production workflows, and inventory control for our Galaxy Value Innovation (GVI) business unit. Operating fully onsite at our Coppell facility (and supporting SEV operations), this role drives operational efficiencies, manages reverse logistics and demand fulfillment, tracks regional/global KPIs, and leads vendor and inventory processes for Certified Renewed (CRN) and Refurbished product categories.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Executive Reporting
  • Business & Activity Planning: Develop and implement standardized activity planning processes across business units; play a lead role in annual business planning and budgeting.
  • KPI & Strategy Management: Establish regional and global operational KPIs aligned with senior leadership directives; report on key metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Executive Presentations: Create high-level materials and presentations for executive leadership, team meetings, off-sites, and strategic events.
  • Risk & Continuous Improvement: Perform regular risk assessment analyses, drive process improvement initiatives, and present recommendations to mitigate operational risks.
End-to-End GVI Operations & Production
  • Multi-Site Operations: Oversee internal end-to-end operations across Coppell (MPC/LPS/eComm) and SEV facilities.
  • Production & Fulfillment: Manage all aspects of GVI production, Demand Fulfillment (DF), logistics, and RMA operational activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with MPC, Supply Planning (SP), LPS/Warehouse, and Sales teams to ensure all target production levels and delivery schedules are met.
Inventory Control & Reverse Logistics
  • Full-Lifecycle Inventory Management: Oversee all inventory processes related to Certified Renewed (CRN), Refurbished (Refurb), Buyer Returns (BR), Customer Returns (CTC), customer order fulfillment, and RMA workflows.
  • Stock Audits & Reconciliation: Perform monthly MTV counts and semi-annual Physical Inventory (PI) counts; provide dedicated support for aging inventory and blocked stock movements.
  • Issue Resolution: Lead prompt investigation and resolution for supply chain disruptions, inventory discrepancies, and fulfillment bottlenecks.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive operations, supply chain, or inventory management experience, including strategic decision-making roles within large enterprise organizations.
  • Core Skill Sets:
    • Vendor Management: Strong track record managing external vendors, supplier agreements, and partner performance.
    • Demand Planning & Logistics: Expertise in demand fulfillment, reverse logistics, RMA management, and physical inventory control.
    • Process Improvement: Proven success building operational processes, driving efficiencies, and leading Lean/continuous improvement projects.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership and collaborating across complex business units.
  • Software Tools: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and enterprise inventory tracking/ERP systems.
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Location Requirement: Fully onsite in Coppell, TX. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that spans both corporate planning and warehouse/production operations.
