Job Description:

The Manager Deliver Operations Planning is accountable for leading and governing Deliver operations planning execution across a multiregion network of distribution centers and transportation partners. The position can be located at one of our U.S. J&J sites located within NJ, PA, CA, FL, TX, or Guaynabo Puerto Rico, or internationally in Markham Canada, or Sao Paulo, Brazil.

This role ensures consistent application of established Deliver planning standards, effective integration into Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and strong operational performance across service, cost, cash, and resilience outcomes. The Director enables enterprise decisionmaking through planning insight, scenario execution, and crossfunctional alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Operations Planning Execution

  • Lead global execution of Deliver Operations Planning activities within established planning frameworks and standards.
  • Ensure regional planning teams operate consistently and effectively within agreed planning guardrails.
  • Monitor planning performance and drive corrective actions where gaps exist.

Supply, Capacity Planning

  • Lead Deliver supply and capacity planning across owned and 3PL distribution centers and transportation partners.
  • Ensure accurate and timely visibility of capacity constraints, risks, and tradeoffs across the Deliver network.
  • Support regional Deliver teams in executing capacity and labor plans aligned to business priorities.

Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Enablement

  • Own Deliver Operations Planning inputs, analysis, and recommendations into IBP processes, including Supply Review and Management Business Review.
  • Execute Deliver planning scenarios and tradeoff analyses to support enterprise decisionmaking.
  • Represent Deliver planning outcomes in IBP forums and leadership discussions.

Scenario Planning & Decision Frameworks

  • Execute approved scenario planning related to allocation, mode mix, network risks, and launches.
  • Provide clear insights on operational and financial implications of Deliver planning scenarios.
  • Support leadership decisions through factbased planning analysis and recommendations.

Planning Governance, Standards & Playbooks

  • Ensure compliance with global Deliver planning standards, controls, and governance expectations.
  • Monitor planning effectiveness through KPIs, indicators, and maturity assessments.
  • Escalate risks, gaps, and exceptions in line with governance and decision forums.

Risk & Resilience Planning

  • Proactively identify Deliver operational risks and vulnerabilities through planning execution.
  • Support mitigation actions and contingency planning
  • Enable resilient planning outcomes through disciplined execution and monitoring.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop Deliver Operations Planning teams and key planning contributors.
  • Partner closely with Regional Deliver Operations, E2E Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance.
  • Influence stakeholders through clear communication of planning insights, risks, and tradeoffs.

Scope & Accountability

  • Owns:
    • Execution of Deliver Operations Planning activities
    • Deliver supply, and capacity planning outcomes
    • Deliver planning inputs and recommendations into IBP
  • Does Not Own:
    • Design of enterprise planning processes or policies
    • Daytoday operational execution in distribution or transportation
    • Enterprise IBP governance

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in supply chain planning, operations planning, or deliver/network planning within a global environment
  • Demonstrated leadership in Planning and IBP integration
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence crossfunctional stakeholders in a matrix organization

Preferred:

  • Experience operating within complex, multiregion distribution and logistics networks
  • Strong analytical, scenario planning, and decisionframework development skills
  • Ability to translate strategy into standardized, executable planning processes

Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor's or equivalent University Degree is required, Masters or advanced degree preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years overall business experience is required, preferably focused on Planning/Deliver/Strategy and management of large programs.
  • Proven success working in a complex, highly matrixed, global organization with constantly evolving priorities and tight timelines.
  • Validated ownership of IBP process and linkage to P&L/working capital
  • Demonstrated impact in increasingly complex leadership roles, including roles requiring orchestration and leadership by influence; E2E mentality and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of core Order Fulfillment processes (Customer Service, Warehousing and Transportation)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience representing Supply Chain or a function in Leadership Teams.
  • Strong planning and systems understanding with demonstrated track record of execution.
  • Shown Critical thinking, learning agility and intellectual curiosity.

Other:

  • This position requires up to 10-15% domestic and international travel.

Desirable:

  • APICS/CSCP/CLTD/CPIM and/or Lean Six Sigma; degree in Supply Chain/Operations/Engineering

  • Deep understanding of financial processes.

$102,000.00 - $177,100.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
