About your role
Rocket Lawyer is seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence Analyst Intern to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who wants to learn about the legal industry and how data is used to inform business decisions. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that have a real impact on people's lives. You will support the Rocket Lawyer team in driving business insights, reporting, and analytics to help drive growth and optimize business performance. This role will partner closely with Product, Finance, Marketing, & Data Engineering teams to deliver actionable insights and act as a thought leader for data at Rocket Lawyer.
How you will make a difference day to day
  • Analyze and optimize user engagement and experience with our services and investment across Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), email, and offline channels
  • Collaborate with business leads to understand KPIs & test hypotheses to drive revenue, customer acquisition, retention, and sales
  • Support revenue and cost model assumptions are they relate to customer acquisition costs and lifetime value
  • Conduct research and analysis to support business decisions, including reporting and communication of results to leadership
  • Maintain and optimize BI tools and dashboard solutions. Contribute to ongoing data governance efforts
What you'll need
  • Experience with business analysis and problem-solving by drawing insights from large data sets
  • Superior skills with SQL, Excel, and Python
  • Experience with business intelligence applications (Tableau, Looker) and online marketing tools (Amplitude)
  • Experience with Snowflake, other databases a plus
  • SaaS, digital media, ecommerce, or online marketing based business experience a plus
  • Light-hearted attitude and ability to have FUN while working hard
  • Keen attention to detail, ability to work autonomously, & bias for action
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong business acumen
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related quantitative field

Location: Remote, but you must be located in CA, AZ, CO, NC, or UT during the internship.
Duration: June 8, 2026 - August 14, 2026, working 40 hours per week
Compensation per hour by location:
  • San Francisco Bay Area, CA: $32.00
  • California (outside of San Francisco Bay Area): $29.60
  • Colorado: $27.20
  • Utah, Arizona, and North Carolina: $25.60

Actual compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, specific work location, and performance during the interview process. In addition to base salary, this role may include variable compensation and be eligible for an equity grant, depending on the position and level.
Base salary range:
$25.60-$32 USD
