Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Energy Advisor on behalf of a leading utility organization. This individual will serve as a trusted resource for customers seeking guidance on energy efficiency, conservation programs, renewable energy options, and utility cost savings.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, analytical, and passionate about helping individuals and businesses better understand their energy usage. This role combines customer service, problem-solving, data analysis, and community engagement to support energy efficiency program participation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Consult directly with customers to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption and lowering utility costs.
  • Analyze customer energy usage patterns and billing information to identify usage trends and recommend energy-saving solutions.
  • Investigate high-bill concerns and provide actionable recommendations based on customer-specific energy data.
  • Promote energy efficiency, conservation, and renewable energy programs.
  • Assist customers with program enrollment and participation processes.
  • Support outreach and marketing initiatives to drive awareness and participation in energy-related programs.
  • Represent the organization at community events, trade shows, workshops, fairs, and educational forums.
  • Deliver presentations and educational content to businesses, community groups, and customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally while independently resolving routine customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of customer service, customer support, account management, or public-facing experience.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment.
