REPORTS TO:           Campus Pastor

STATUS:                     Part time

HOURS:                      20 hours/week

Your passion:

You must have a passion for people and assist the pastor by working directly with volunteers, the church body, and staff to fulfill the mission of the church “make Disciples”. You’ll do this through planning and organizing church events, working closely with volunteers to train and transition them into their specific area of service, and lead in the administrative side of ministry. 

As the Administrative Assistant, you must be able to utilize technology to organize and process the administrative side of ministry. You must be flexible with great personal skills willing to engage the church body with both their commendations and critiques. This position will utilize technical skills, personal skills, and spiritual maturity to assist the pastor in both managerial and ministerial church initiatives.

You will:

  • Reconcile the monthly church credit card report.

  • Lead the volunteer onboarding process, including conducting interviews, organizing training sessions, and integrating new volunteers.

  • Assist in strategizing and planning church events.

  • Process and simplify data to enhance church organization.

  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to achieve objectives across various ministries.

  • Manage weekly church attendance reports.

  • Attend weekly staff meetings.

  • Oversee social media accounts and online ministry initiatives.

  • Inventory church supplies and procure necessary items.

  • Support the pastor's wife with women's ministry needs.

  • Handle phone calls and respond to messages.

  • Collaborate closely with the campus pastor to delegate ministry objectives.

You have: 

  • Proficiency in computer software (e.g., Excel, Word, Google Drive).

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask effectively.

  • The ability to counsel with the Bible.

  • Excellent organizational and office management skills, with the ability to work independently.

  • Strong public speaking and writing skills.

  • Spiritual, emotional, social, and mental maturity.

  • Experience coordinating and directing major ministry events.

  • The ability to earn respect, trust, and confidence from others.

What you are required to know:

  • We are an EEO employer.

  • You may have to bend, sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 35 lbs.

  • This is a part-time (20 hours/week) hourly non-exempt position.

  • You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.

Work Schedule:

As a part time employee your work schedule can be flexible but you will be required to work on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s.

Staff culture is important to what we do. To love like family, we require all staff to attend all staff meetings, department meetings and serve with a willing heart especially at all major campus events.
