About the role

As a Senior Global Data Center Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting Leviton products by engaging with end users, consultants, engineering firms, and design-build contractors. You will be instrumental in generating global end-user demand and providing technical assistance to Sales Representatives, Regional Sales Managers, and Strategic Account Managers. You will also be responsible for developing and achieving sales revenue growth targets for named strategic accounts.


Responsibilities
  • Ensure Leviton products are prominently specified by part number and/or name in specification documents, materials lists, and drawings.
  • Manage a strategic account sales pipeline and track progress using CRM software.
  • Mentor Technical Sales teammates on global best practices, standards, and specification documentation.
  • Formulate an annual sales plan aligned with organizational sales and budget objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver a monthly report on strategic account activities in collaboration with the Strategic Account Manager and Director of Global Technical Sales.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with end users, consultants, engineering firms, design-build contractors, and specifying organizations to understand their technical needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective clients.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and end user scope-of-work documents for orders approved by the customer.
  • Review customer projects to identify potential need for additional Leviton products to sell such products.
  • Communicate customers’ needs to engineering and product development teams to maximize sales by ensuring that all possible products are offered to customers for sale. 
  • Identify and engage the appropriate internal collaborators to provide a holistic Leviton solution for end-users, consultants, engineering firms, and design-build contractors that have product requirements in any of the four Leviton business units.
  • Serve as a global subject matter expert for Leviton Network Solutions, providing expertise and guidance to end users, consultants, engineering firms, and design-build contractors.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new product developments, and competitor products.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales Reps, Outside Sales Reps, Regional Sales Managers and Strategic Account Managers on joint sales activities.
  • Oversee and address sales representative issues by providing effective management, resolution, and coaching to ensure optimal performance and alignment with company goals.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field is strongly preferred
  • BICSI RCDD is required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the structured cabling industry.
  • Proven expertise in working with both copper and optical fiber systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Minimum of 5 years working with global end-user accounts.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in artificial intelligence data center cabling design is required.

Travel
  • Approximately 50% travel, including international, is required.
  • A valid passport is necessary.
