Job description

About Airwallex

Airwallex is the only unified payments and financial platform for global businesses. Powered by our unique combination of proprietary infrastructure and software, we empower over 250,000 businesses worldwide – including Brex, Navan, Qantas, SHEIN and many more – with fully integrated solutions to manage everything from business accounts, payments, spend management and treasury, to embedded finance at a global scale.

Proudly founded in Melbourne, we have a team of over 2,300 of the brightest and most innovative people in tech across 27 offices around the globe. Valued at US$11 billion and backed by world-leading investors including T. Rowe Price, Visa, Mastercard, Robinhood Ventures, Sequoia, Salesforce Ventures, DST Global, and Lone Pine Capital, Airwallex is leading the charge in building the global payments and financial platform of the future. If you’re ready to do the most ambitious work of your career, join us.

Attributes We Value

We hire successful builders with founder‑like energy who want real impact, accelerated learning, and true ownership. You bring strong role‑related expertise and sharp thinking, and you’re motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor.

You’re humble and collaborative; turn zero‑to‑one ideas into real products, and you “get stuff done” end‑to‑end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you’ll tackle complex, high‑visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let’s build what’s next.

What you’ll do

You’ll lead the creation of high‑quality, developer‑facing content that helps founders and startups understand and adopt Airwallex. This role combines technical depth with strong storytelling — you’ll turn product capabilities and real usage into compelling narratives that keep Airwallex top‑of‑mind with technical decision‑makers and builders.

You’ll have broad ownership over both the direction and output of developer content. You’ll proactively surface strong stories from customers and partners, work closely with Product and Engineering to develop them, and produce narrative case studies, integration teardowns, and technical explainers that drive awareness and adoption. Your work will directly influence how founders and technical teams perceive and engage with Airwallex.

Responsibilities

  • Own developer‑facing editorial content: narrative case studies, integration stories, technical deep dives, and reference architectures/builds. Work with Product and Engineering to turn new capabilities into content that gets developers from evaluation to a first integration. Partner with the DevX technical writing team, which owns API reference and product documentation.

  • Proactively identify high‑potential stories from customers, partners, and internal teams, and turn them into content that showcases real usage of Airwallex.

  • Produce integration teardowns and technical explainers that help developers and technical founders evaluate and adopt Airwallex.

  • Own the publishing and distribution of developer content across relevant channels, including YouTube, X/social media, the Airwallex website, and developer hub.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content supports key priorities that need to reach founders, startups, and technical decision‑makers.

  • Identify opportunities to improve how stories are sourced and developed, and introduce lightweight approaches that increase quality and speed.

Who you are

  • 7+ years of experience creating technical or developer‑facing content (e.g. Developer Relations, Technical Content, Developer Marketing, or similar roles).

  • Strong ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly and compellingly to developers and technical founders.

  • Proven track record of owning content initiatives from opportunity identification through to published output.

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving outcomes with limited structure or resources.

  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with experience producing narrative‑driven content that resonates with developer audiences.

  • Experience working cross‑functionally with Product and Engineering teams.

  • Experience in fintech, payments, or developer platforms is a plus.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience producing content that has driven measurable developer awareness, inbound interest, or adoption.

  • Track record of improving how content is created or distributed through lightweight processes or frameworks.

  • Strong cross‑functional influence skills and the ability to surface stories and priorities proactively.

Equal opportunity

Airwallex is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and anyone seeking employment at Airwallex is considered based on merit, qualifications, competence and talent. We don’t regard color, religion, race, national origin, sexual orientation, ancestry, citizenship, sex, marital or family status, disability, gender, or any other legally protected status when making our hiring decisions.
