Description

- Deliver individualized therapy focusing on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals such as physical and occupational therapists, physicians, and caregivers to devise comprehensive care solutions.
- Facilitate patient and family education to enhance progress beyond the therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and treatments, ensuring that care is continuous throughout the healing journey.
- Keep thorough, timely records in accordance with both state and professional regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and education to remain current with new and improved practices in the field.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
- State certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of commencing employment.
