Job description

Job Summary: The PGW Auto Glass Warehouse Employee is responsible for handling, storing, and distributing automotive glass products while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This role includes receiving shipments, organizing inventory, fulfilling orders, and maintaining quality control to prevent damage to fragile products. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse setting. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments of automotive glass and related materials. 
  • Accurately pick, pack, and load customer orders. 
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a safe manner. 
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure glass products are free from defects and meet company standards. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and participate in cycle counts. 
  • Follow proper handling and safety procedures to minimize product damage and ensure workplace safety. 
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of products. 
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and properly storing materials. 
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and OSHA regulations. 
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure efficient operations. 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience, especially handling fragile materials, is a plus. 
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to use forklifts and warehouse equipment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment. 
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and shipping/receiving documentation. 
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds regularly. 
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors. 
  • Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow established procedures. 
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality. 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements 

  • Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions. 
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. 
  • Use of safety PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots as required. 
  • Handling fragile automotive glass products requiring precision and caution. 
  • Weekend shifts may be required based on business needs. 
 

Compensation: $21/hr
