#1 Recruitment Firm Servicing the Glass & Glazing Industry Job Title: Glazing Estimator Location: Remote Job Type: Full-Time About Our Client We are partnering with a growing commercial glazing contractor specializing in turnkey management of glazing packages nationwide and are seeking a Glass Estimator to join their team. This organization partners with general contractors, developers, and architects to deliver full-scope glazing solutions for interior and exterior commercial construction projects. Their portfolio includes high-rises, retail developments, mixed-use buildings, and specialty facilities.

Position Overview The Glass Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, performing accurate material takeoffs, and preparing competitive cost estimates for glass and glazing scopes. This role works closely with project managers, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure budgets and timelines are aligned for successful project delivery. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills are critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents Perform detailed material takeoffs for glass and glazing systems Develop accurate and competitive project estimates Source materials and coordinate with suppliers for pricing Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders Ensure estimates align with project budgets and schedules Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting deadlines Qualifications Experience in glass and glazing estimating within commercial construction Strong blueprint reading and takeoff skills Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel Knowledge of commercial glazing systems and construction processes Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Understanding of field operations and coordination with multiple trades (preferred) High school diploma required; degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred At Solid Rock Recruiting, we partner with top glazing contractors across the country.
