About Luxus Architectural Glass:

Luxus Architectural Glass is a growing architectural glass company specializing in laminated glass applications for residential, commercial, hospitality, and interior applications.

We are looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative to help expand Luxus throughout the Houston market.

This position is ideal for an established glass industry professional who understands architectural materials and has experience working directly with architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, developers, and other design and construction professionals.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable developing new relationships, identifying upcoming projects, presenting architectural glass solutions, and getting Luxus products specified into projects from the early design stages.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and grow new business throughout the Houston market
  • Build and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, developers, general contractors, glaziers, and other industry professionals
  • Identify upcoming residential, commercial, hospitality, and interior design projects where architectural glass may be specified
  • Introduce architects and interior designers to Luxus products and specialty glass solutions
  • Conduct in-person sales meetings, office visits, project visits, and job-site visits
  • Present product samples and architectural glass solutions to prospective customers
  • Develop new accounts and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Follow projects from initial introduction and specification through quoting and order placement
  • Prepare quotes and follow up consistently with prospective and existing customers
  • Promote laminated, decorative, fabric, and metal mesh glass products
  • Identify opportunities to introduce specialty glass into projects where conventional glass would otherwise be specified
  • Work closely with the Luxus production team to ensure projects are quoted and fulfilled accurately
  • Maintain organized records of leads, opportunities, quotes, and customer interactions
  • Meet established sales and business-development goals

Required Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the glass, glazing, architectural products, or related construction industry is required.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of architectural glass products, applications, and the construction/design process.

5+ years of outside sales experience is strongly preferred.

Architecture & Interior Design Experience

Experience working directly with architects and interior designers is highly valued for this position.

The ideal candidate will have experience:

  • Selling architectural products to architects and interior designers
  • Developing relationships with design firms
  • Getting products considered or specified for projects
  • Presenting samples and product solutions to design professionals
  • Identifying projects during the design/specification stage
  • Working with builders, contractors, and fabricators to bring specified products through to completion

Existing relationships with Houston-area architects, interior designers, builders, developers, and design firms are a major plus.

Glass Industry Experience:

Experience selling or working with the following products is preferred:

  • Laminated glass
  • Insulated glass (IG/IGU)
  • Tempered glass
  • Clear glass
  • Ultra-clear / low-iron glass
  • Decorative glass
  • Fabric laminated glass
  • Metal mesh laminated glass
  • Architectural and commercial glass

A strong understanding of glass thicknesses, applications, fabrication, and project requirements is preferred.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the glass, glazing, architectural products, or construction industry
  • Previous outside sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with architects and interior designers
  • Strong understanding of architectural glass and building products
  • Ability to develop new accounts and generate business independently
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Comfortable conducting face-to-face meetings and presentations
  • Strong follow-up and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Professional appearance and communication
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable traveling throughout the Houston area for customer meetings and project visits

Compensation:

  • $59,529–$71,691 annual base salary, depending on experience
  • Commission
  • Additional earning potential through specialty architectural glass sales
