Now Hiring a Specialty Glass Consultant

Position Summary

The Specialty Glass Consultant serves as the primary expert and sales professional for custom glass solutions at Planet Glass. This role works directly with homeowners, builders, designers, architects, and contractors to identify project needs, recommend specialty glass products, prepare estimates, and guide projects from concept through completion. The Specialty Glass Consultant plays a critical role in driving revenue growth, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and expanding Planet Glass's reputation as the region's leader in specialty glass solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers to understand project requirements and recommend specialty glass solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, designers, architects, and homeowners.
  • Conduct showroom consultations and product presentations.
  • Prepare accurate estimates, quotes, and proposals.
  • Review plans, specifications, and drawings to identify project opportunities.
  • Coordinate with estimating, project management, and installation teams.
  • Maintain a consistent sales pipeline and follow-up schedule.
  • Achieve monthly sales and gross profit goals.
  • Stay current on industry trends, products, building codes, and glazing standards.
  • Maintain accurate customer records within company software systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Tennessee driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred

  • Associate's degree in Business, Construction Management, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of sales, construction, glazing, or architectural product experience.
  • Experience reading architectural plans and specifications.
