Rex Glass is the largest and most professional residential glass and glazing company in Pittsburgh. We're in immediate need of talented craftsmen to join our team. If you're looking for stable employment and loads of opportunities for development and advancement, please apply!


No experience is necessary. We have an apprenticeship program, and we'll help you develop your skills. Same-day offers were made following the interview.


Compensation

  • Pay starts at $23/hour for new recruits and increases as you advance to the apprentice level and then to the rank of glazier and beyond
  • Overtime is offered when available
  • Safety bonuses, performance bonuses, tool buys, zero-cost health insurance, zero-interest hardship loans, incentivized savings plans, 401(k) matching, and annual raises are some of the key benefits available
Compensation:

$23 - $37 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Apprentice glaziers assist more experienced glaziers with field installations or shop fabrications
  • Glaziers measure, fabricate, and install glass shower enclosures, mirrors, railing systems, aluminum storefronts, and other glass products
  • Glaziers are required to interface with customers, troubleshoot, and problem-solve
  • Glazier uses carpentry skills to create beautiful finished products

Qualifications:
  • Candidates must possess a minimum level of mechanical aptitude that includes the ability to read a tape measure, use hand tools, and understand written and verbal instructions
  • The job requires adding and subtracting fractions to determine glass sizes and opening sizes
  • Candidates must be able to carry up to 80 lbs
  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license and must be able to drive a vehicle
  • Applicants must be able to pass a drug test
  • Applicants must be willing to work hard and work overtime (a few hours a week when necessary)
