Job description

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

**

  • Perform electrical/electronic diagnosis, repair and installation of machinery in a complex automotive glass manufacturing facility

  • Assist with improving processes and cycle time, perform routine machine quality checks and analyze process stoppages due to equipment failure

  • Assist with diagnosing and correcting unscheduled machine downtime and/or major installation projects

  • Assist Engineers in formulating process improvements

  • Perform daily line monitoring assessments

  • Regular and predictable attendance

  • Work cooperatively with others

**EDUCATIONAL & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

**

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 4 technical trade school apprentice or 6+ years of experience in electrical/electronic diagnosis, repair, and installation of complex machinery and systems in a manufacturing facility required. Prefer Associates Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology

  • Must be a Journeyman Industrial Electrician

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, PLC, servo, NC and power systems required

  • The successful candidate will have the ability to apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and

  • Ability to work alternative work schedules, including 12 hour shifts and weekends
