Job Description

The Mold Shop and Machine Repair Supervisor is accountable for supervising hourly personnel in all phases of machine and mold shop operation, along with all related design and specification activities.

The Mold Shop and Machine Repair Supervisor will:

  • Review bottle quality and mold equipment operating data
  • Analyze blueprints, job histories, and specifications to make recommendations relative to equipment operating adjustments and equipment design changes
  • Be responsible for department's preventive maintenance program
  • Conducts periodic inspections
  • Manage department KPI's
  • Ensure correct use of safety equipment and that safety policies are followed
  • Oversee Mold Maker apprenticeship programs

The Mold Shop and Machine Repair Supervisor should have:

  • Experience supervising and training employees and managing cross-functional teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Be able to support job changes and improvement initiatives
  • Project management skills
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering is preferred
  • Previous machine repair experience in glass manufacturing 
  • Prior mold shop operation experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of SAP desired

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is between $105,000 - $115,000 and includes a possible 12% short-term incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
