Apple Ford White Bear Lake has a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Mobile Auto Glass Technician. In this role, you will travel to customer locations and dealership sites to install, repair, and replace windshields and other vehicle glass, ensuring high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. We are looking for a skilled and dependable Auto Glass Technician to join our team. You will perform glass installation and repairs both on-site and at customer locations, while maintaining safety standards and delivering exceptional service.

What You’ll Do

  • Install and replace windshields, side windows, rear windows, and sunroofs
  • Repair small chips or cracks using industry-standard tools and materials
  • Safely remove damaged glass without harming the vehicle
  • Perform insurance-quality windshield replacements
  • Static and dynamic lane departure camera calibrations
  • Glass removal and installation for collision repair vehicles
  • Diagnose water leaks and wind noises
  • Perform dealership warranty repairs and replacements where window urethane is used
  • Replace movable glass (door glass, sunroof, rear sliding glass) and verify proper function after replacement
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes
  • Maintain glass equipment and keep glass scan tool software up to date
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper sealing, alignment, and quality
  • Communicate effectively with customers and answer basic questions
  • Maintain a clean work area and keep tools/equipment in good condition
  • Document work performed and assist with inventory when needed
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous auto glass installation or related automotive experience preferred
  • Auto Glass windshield repair and replacement: 2 years preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, and able to adapt to schedule changes
  • AGRSS or AGSC certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • ADAS training and experience with recalibration preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in various weather conditions
  • Regularly required to:
    • Sit, stand and walk
    • Use hands and arms to handle, feel, or reach
    • Speak and hear
    • Use close vision abilities
    • Operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license
  • Occasionally, required to:
    • Lift or move up to 50lbs
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
    • Ensure Quality, Safety, and shop cleanliness in accordance to OSHA requirement.
