Job description

Minneapolis Glass in Brooklyn Park, MN is looking to hire a full-time Glass Loader to join our Glass Fabrication Team at our new state-of-the-art facility. Do you like to be active and want variety in your daily responsibilities to ensure all glass is loaded onto trucks efficiently to meet the production schedules? This position earns a competitive union salary starting at $29.82/hr plus $0.55/hr shift differential and eligible for daily overtime after 8 hours. After 12 months in the production role, the salary would be $33.41/hr. This loader position supports a first shift operation with a predictable later work schedule of 9:00am - 5:30pm M-Th and 7:30am - 4:00pm on Friday. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LOADER

As a Glass Loader, you will be responsible for gathering product, loading trucks and assisting with handling & packaging a wide variety of glass products. You will prioritize orders to be filled and verify product and quantities are correct for each order. You will assist customers in loading "will call" product to personal vehicles.

Using our standard operating processes and software, you will ensure quality and accuracy of all orders to be loaded or shipped. Attention to detail and accuracy are key to success. Your ideas matter and will be key to continuous improvement for Minneapolis Glass.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED
  • 2 years of experience in shipping & receiving, warehouse operation
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted and be on your feet for 8 hours a day.
  • Knowledge of glass fabrication strongly preferred.
  • Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized.

PAY RATE

Split shift production workers start at $30.37/hr. and progress to $33.41/hr. after 12 months.

WORK SCHEDULE

This loader position is full-time with a later schedule of 9:00am - 5:30pm M-Th and 7:30am - 4:00pm on Friday and paid overtime beyond 8 hours daily.
