Position: Custom Glass Fabricator
Department: Manufacturing/Production Operations
Location: 2940 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118
Wage: $17.00 (Depending on Experience) with 90 Day Evaluation & Pay Rate Change
Summary
Glaz-Tech is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glass Fabricator to contribute to our manufacturing process and deliver exceptional glass products at our Shreveport, LA locations. The position entails handling flat glass panes and operation of fabrication machines, such as a polisher machine. These fabricated glass panes are used for shower doors, table tops, mirrors, etc. The glass fabricator will use a variety of tools, machinery, and protective gear to ensure product is produced safely and to the highest quality.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Polish and finish glass products using various tools and techniques.
  • Handle and organizing glass panes onto machinery, storage racks or transport carts
  • Fabricate glass panes based on customer specifications and/or drawings.
  • Operate and maintain glass fabrication equipment, including polishing machines.
  • Inspect glass products for defects and correct sizing.

Requirements:
  • Ability to safely lift over 50 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/8" increments.
  • Ability to physically stand for 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to complete simple computer task.
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Background Check/Drug Screen

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the US
