Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Support Distribution Operations by implementing new or improved processes, testing system functionalities, and developing reports.ย  Oversee and participate in a variety of projects in our Distribution Center. Projects will include continuous improvement initiatives linked to our operational processes, as well as new activities in our DC and supporting the growth of the supply chain network
  • Full time in the Cranbury, NJ Distribution Center.ย  Option to work one day a week remotely. Potentially on call for remote support on selected Sundays

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and lead aspects of different continuous improvement initiatives to ensure we are delivering high service and quality for our customers, and best in class working conditions for our DC employees to support projected sales forecasts.
  • Provide updates on progress and timelines regarding assigned tasks
  • Analyze / evaluate distribution center system / process / tools to make recommendations for improvements related to capacity, throughput, productivity, accuracy or visibility
  • Develop and implement new processes, create new reports and test system functionalities to support distribution operations and customer / Brand requirements
  • Partner with Distribution Operations, Beauty Tech (IT) and external vendors as needed to implement processes
  • Create and update documentation for process and layouts
  • Train Distribution Center staff on new processes
  • Troubleshoot WMS related issues and update business rules as needed
  • Conduct all other job-related activities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a distribution center or similar industry
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel (e.g., Data management, pivot tables).ย 
  • Working knowledge of a WMS (Manhattan preferred)
  • Comfortable in analyzing data and presenting analytical conclusions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in continuous improvement programs preferred
  • Curious, creative, and innovative
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate and present across all levels of employees and management
  • Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related engineering / science field preferred
