Job description

Provn is hiring an Agentic Software Engineer I for a travel technology company building its platform on the latest AI-powered development tools. This is an early-career, full-stack role where working alongside AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) is part of the daily workflow, not a side experiment.

Comp: Discussed at interview stage. Remote, US-based.

You'd be joining a team that's serious about treating agentic development as a real engineering discipline. You'll ship features and fix defects across a full-stack travel platform, write code both manually and with AI agents, and build the review instincts needed to keep AI-generated code high quality. You'll work under the mentorship of experienced engineers and grow your skills across both traditional software engineering and agentic development.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing features and fixing defects across a full-stack travel platform with guidance from senior engineers
  • Using Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot as part of daily development workflows to write, refine, and debug code
  • Reviewing AI-generated code for correctness and quality under mentorship
  • Contributing to refactoring and modernizing existing services using established patterns
  • Writing clean, testable, and well-documented code, whether authored manually or collaboratively with AI agents
  • Participating in improvements to development processes and the operations of a distributed architecture
  • Supporting quality, durability, and technical debt reduction alongside Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Designers
  • Following established security and privacy practices to protect member data
  • Contributing to backend and system SLOs as part of the broader engineering team

What we're looking for:

  • 1-3 years of full-stack development experience building web applications and services (internship experience counts)
  • Proficiency in one or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET
  • Experience with at least one modern frontend framework: React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular
  • Foundational experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with AI coding agents through professional use, personal projects, or academic work
  • Basic understanding of prompt engineering for code generation and development tasks
  • Awareness of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and how it enables AI agents to interact with external tools and data
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD concepts, and code review processes
  • Exposure to Docker or interest in container-based workflows
  • Strong communication, curiosity about emerging AI development tools, and the ability to act on feedback from code reviews
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Bonus points for working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, RAG, LangChain, or graph-based data technologies (GraphRAG, GraphDB)

Must be authorized to work in the US. No visa sponsorship.
