Coursework often includes subjects such as cartography, remote sensing, spatial analysis, and programming. Graduates from these programs can pursue careers in urban planning, environmental science, geospatial analysis, and related fields. Many GIS universities also provide access to advanced labs, research opportunities, and industry partnerships.

What are some typical projects or responsibilities for someone working in a GIS role at a university?
