They are seeking a Software Developer II to support U.S. military Modeling & Simulation efforts, focusing on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of simulation systems for training and analysis in defense environments.
Responsibilities:
• Designs, implements, and maintains simulation software for military training and analysis
• Contributes to software architecture decisions and technical design reviews
• Integrates models and simulations with C4ISR systems, data sources, and external interfaces using DIS, HLA, and DDS protocols
• Translates operational military requirements into scalable and reusable software components
• Develops and tests simulation scenarios, models, and system behaviors to meet fidelity and performance requirements
• Collaborates with systems engineers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and military users to validate simulation capabilities
• Ensures compliance with software development standards, security guidelines, and configuration management practices
• Contributes to technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals
• Mentors junior developers and participates in code reviews
