Travel Project Manager - Field Installations
Are you an experienced team leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys extensive travel?
Graphic Information Systems (GIS) is seeking a Travel Project Manager to oversee nationwide warehouse signage and labeling projects for our Fortune 500 clients across the U.S. and Canada. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring 85% travel (approximately 10+ months per year).
GIS specializes in warehouse inventory control solutions, including the installation of labeling and signage systems for major distribution centers throughout North America.
As a Travel Project Manager, you’ll lead teams of hourly and temporary employees on-site to ensure successful execution of labeling projects. You will manage daily operations, materials, safety, and client communication from project launch to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise installation teams (5+ employees) to meet project goals on time and within budget.
  • Understand and manage the full scope of each project: materials, logistics, timelines, and customer specifications.
  • Act as the primary liaison between GIS and the client’s on-site representatives.
  • Monitor and report on resources, equipment, project scope, delays, and quality issues.
  • Conduct on-site training related to safety, equipment usage (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts), and installation procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to federal and site-specific safety policies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising teams of 5 or more.
  • Willing and able to travel 85% of the year (10+ months) across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet.
  • Must be willing to become certified to operate and train others on forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
