Description
Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated GIS Technician to join its GIS Group. This position will support a variety of municipal and engineering projects through GIS data maintenance, mapping, field data collection, and database management. The successful candidate will work closely with GIS, engineering, survey, and CAD staff to support project delivery and client needs. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication, project collaboration, and teamwork.
Requirements
Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintain and update GIS databases for municipal utility systems, infrastructure, and asset management programs.
  • Create exhibits, maps, figures, and presentation materials for engineering projects and client meetings.
  • Perform GIS data entry, editing, quality control, and data validation.
  • Assist with field data collection using GPS equipment and mobile GIS applications.
  • Support the conversion and organization of CAD, survey, and GIS datasets.
  • Assist with utility inventory, asset management, and infrastructure mapping projects.
  • Help Maintain GIS archives and project files.
  • Provide general GIS support to engineering and municipal clients.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Planning, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of GIS experience preferred
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid driver's license
