Position Title:

Job Description:

• Safely transport youth to various programactivities within the City.

• Provide supervision toyouthengaged in program activities.

• Providetemporary site supervisionwhen Sr. Manageris out of office.

• Develop and plan activities forprogram youth and teen participantsbased on learning objectives, grant goals, and division-wide initiatives.

• Complete weekly lesson plans based on established program goalsand assist leadership in developing new curriculum programs.

• Teachandfacilitate group activities for youth. Participate in program activitiesand model youth support strategies for the team.

• Follow programproceduresto safeguard the health, safety, and well-being ofparticipants.

• Prep, clean, and maintain the facility dailyto provide a safe/healthy environment for program participants

• Assist in providing daily snacks and grant reporting.

• Assist with program's grant-required assessments to ensure program quality metrics are met.

• Maintain accurate tracking and documentation as required by the program.

• Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including tracking and reporting.

• Attend mandatory staff meetings and stafftraining as scheduled.

• Assist in facilitating, developing, and executingYouthCitystaff training and professional development.

• Participate in one-on-one professional development meetings with Senior Community Programs Managers.

• Participate in YouthCity Leadership Academy professional development training courses.

• Maintains and inspects city vehicles according to required pre-trip inspections.

• Reports daily to the Senior Community Programs Manager.

• Performs all other duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent and at least 21 years of age.

• Possession of a valid driver's license or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment.

• Experience working withschool-ageyouthorteensfrom diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

• Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally and demonstrate public presentation skills.

• Ability to demonstrate group management skills and techniques to resolve and de-escalate conflict situations.

• Ability to work independently as well as under supervision.

• Ability to deal with both youth and adults in a non-judgmental atmosphere.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with individuals from different social and ethnic backgrounds.

• Willingness to learn new skillsand mentor and supportLevel I and II Instructors.

Desired Qualification:

• Bilingual preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Moderate physical activity. Required to push, pull, or lift medium weights. Uncomfortable working positions such as stooping, crouching, and bending. May have a few disagreeable elements such as exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

• Exposure to stress as a result of human behavior.

• Will be required to work on evenings and weekends.
