Qualifications:
  • Required: Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Gifted Education.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Gifted Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
  • Experience working with gifted learners in an elementary or middle school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, enrichment strategies, and social-emotional needs of gifted students.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for fostering an engaging, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating learning environment.

Basic Function: General George S. Patton School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Gifted and Talented Teacher to support and challenge high-achieving students. The ideal candidate will develop and implement engaging, differentiated instruction that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and academic excellence. This teacher will collaborate with classroom educators to provide enrichment opportunities and ensure students reach their full potential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
