Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN)
Shift's Available: Variable
Hours: Variable
Location: Providence Medical Center- Kansas City, KS
We are seeking a Gift Shop Associate, also referred to as a Gift Shop Clerk or Gift Shop Sales Associate. The Gift Shop Associate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Gift Shop, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, pricing merchandise, restocking displays, and handling sales reporting and vendor invoicing. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff by providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service
  • Sell gifts, flowers, snacks, and other items, handling cash and electronic payments accurately
  • Restock merchandise, arranges displays, and ensures the shop is clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and pricing new stock
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the hospital environment and patient needs

Qualifications
  • Prefer one year of retail sales experience
  • Prefer cash register knowledge and experience
  • Prefer computer skills and customer service experience
  • Must be available for evenings and weekends
