Client: Non Profit Organization Role: Restricted Gift Accountant Location: NYC, Midtown, 4 days/week on-site Salary: $75,000-$85,000 Job Description: Restricted Gift Validation & Commitments Grant Management: Oversee restricted pledges and grants from initial award through disbursement, ensuring meticulous tracking and regulatory compliance. Balance Reconciliation: Maintain accurate, ongoing tracking and reconciliation of fund balances. Data Synchronization: Manage program inventory and lead regular data syncs between Program Operations and Revenue Operations teams.

Financial Monitoring: Record and monitor program grant credits to ensure precise financial reporting. Fund Management & Systems Expertise System Subject Matter Expert: Act as the primary lead for fund creation and maintenance within Raiser’s Edge (RE) and Financial Edge (FE). Alignment: Establish and maintain fund criteria to ensure seamless integration between development activities and financial tracking.

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation Integration Oversight: Partner with the Controller on RE-to-FE posting, clearing, and adjustment processes. Comprehensive Reporting: Reconcile data from multiple sources to prepare detailed reports and maintain robust supporting documentation. Workflow Optimization: Streamline gift-processing workflows to accommodate complex schedules, remote team members, and diverse contributor types.

General Ledger Analysis Account Analysis: Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses, including prepaid and accrued expense accounts. Banking & Entries: Prepare bank reconciliations and manage related adjusting entries for all reconciling items. Asset Management: Record and monitor stock and bond donations, coordinating with finance and development teams to ensure accurate valuation and compliance.

Process Improvement & Training Efficiency Gains: Identify and implement system and process enhancements to improve departmental efficiency and data integrity. Change Management: Evaluate existing workflows and lead initiatives for process improvement and organizational change.
