Job description

Manufacturing / Mechanical Design Engineer (Fixture Design)


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to support production teams, including operators and technicians.
  • Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, especially for welding and brazing applications.
  • Create 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and complete documentation for fixture release and implementation.
  • Ensure fixture and equipment designs comply with manufacturing standards and production processes.
  • Provide engineering recommendations on design concepts, manufacturing methods, and equipment utilization.
  • Learn and effectively use engineering and operations tools such as SAP, Creo, and Teamcenter.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of engineering work, design changes, and project updates.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD modeling and fixture design, preferably using Creo or similar CAD software.
  • Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly welding, brazing, or fabrication environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and production teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems such as Teamcenter and ERP systems such as SAP.
