Job description

SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for effectively and safely moving material as necessary, loading, and unloading trucks and assisting with staging finishing and semi-finished goods as required. Prior warehouse experience with expertise in standup lifts, sit down forklifts and walk behind. Safety is our number one priority.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


• Follows and supports all Company Safety policies and procedures

• Is responsible for the flow of material coming from the Incubation area both physically and logically

• Follows product specific instructions on packaging requirements including stacking patterns and information necessary on packaging and pallets

• Tracks effectively any defects found during the sorting process

• Communicate effectively if any issues arise in either equipment, raw materials, or product being produced

• Follow all Company required PPE and GMP’s

• Recognize, analyze, and report any product safety or product quality issues per Saturn’s food safety program

• Recognize, analyze, and report any personnel safety issues per Saturn’s safety program

• Ensure that you have the right tools and raw materials to effectively perform the production schedule as assigned

• Maintains established housekeeping standards for responsible area

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1+ years' forklift experience required

• General warehouse experience required

• Experience using handheld scanners a must

• Swing reach and turret truck experience a plus but not required


Computer and Technology Skills:

The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications, SAP and or other ERP systems


Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. German language speaking skills is another advantage.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
