Highlights:

Summary: The Director, Behavioral Health Services shall be responsible for the organization and implementation of daily unit operations of three specific psychiatric nursing units. This individual is also responsible to facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for the provision of quality patient care. The Director will be responsible for the allocation and management of leadership in assigned areas. As a member of the Nursing Service Leadership Team, the Director will assist in the development of long- and short-term goals, objectives, policy development, and priority setting for the Nursing Department. Additionally, the Director will participate with the leadership team in assuming administrative call duties for the facility.

Education/Experience:

Master's degree in Nursing or Social Work required. If individual has a Bachelor's in Nursing, must obtain Master's degree in Nursing within 2 years or hire to role. Minimum 3-5 years progressive experience in clinical field and leadership management preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Active RN or LMSW licensure required; Behavioral Health specialty certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    • Evidence of commitment to continuing education.

    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

    • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.

    • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

    • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

    • Employee development and performance management skills.
