Job description

An industry-leading construction and forensic consulting firm is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to help us ensure client satisfaction through meticulous fieldwork and engineering analysis in Florida.

Your Day Includes

  • Observing and documenting field activities related to construction processes
  • Sampling, testing, and inspecting various materials including soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt
  • Performing calculations, data reduction, and drafting reports based on test results
  • Interacting daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers to facilitate project progress
  • Testifying as an expert witness in dispute resolution proceedings, as necessary

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Experience in construction defect analysis, particularly in compaction, stormwater systems, and foundation testing
