Position Summary

We are seeking a Lead Decision Scientist, Sales Operations Excellence to join our team and support sales and account management operations changes due to industry shifts. This role will be responsible for architecturally structuring reporting surrounding new business structures, identifying process improvement opportunities, isolating changes in customer behavior and experience, and recommending data-driven and technology-driven solutions to business leaders. This role will be integral to architectural planning, change management, and subsequent execution upon solution recommendations both individually and cross-functionally.

In this role you will have the ability to question status quo-both seen and unseen. You will translate the complexity of business processes and insights into simplicity for action will be critical to this position's success. Equally important will be interoperability-driven systems consolidation and end user-focused simplicity.

Key customers served by this position include directly internal customers (consumers of processes and products this position will build and support) and indirectly external customers (end consumers of improved business processes which create improved experiences).

Key responsibilities will include:

Sales & Account Management Operations - Support sales operations, business processes, reporting clarity, and division efficiency through automation and interoperability.

Analytics & Reporting - Leverage and merge data across disparate systems to produce standardized reports and insights that drive more efficient understanding of current statuses, emerging issues, and process holes.

Data Problem-Solving - Apply decision science methodologies to identify root causes, evaluate solution alternatives, quantify business impact, and recommend optimal courses of action.

Operations Management - Identify operational issues, especially pertaining to industry and process shifts, and subsequently drive efficiency and optimization improvements.

Process Analysis - Use analytics to identify drivers of excellent and poor customer experiences (internally as well as externally) across process evolutions and recommend tactical and strategic changes to improve operations states.

Clinical Analytics - Merge disparate clinical data related to key business and industry changes into cohesive, linked datasets that teams can use for building reports and actionable business insights.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of analytics, reporting, process improvement, sales operations, and account management operations experience
  • 10+ years of Salesforce administration and systems/data interoperability
  • 7+ years of combined Tableau and SQL experience required. Alteryx experience helpful.
  • 1+ years of Dataiku experience
  • Direct subject matter expertise in Group Medicare business operations and industry evolution.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, relationship-building, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Exposure to Medicare clinical, member, and plan sponsor data.
  • Cross Company Data Certification
  • Geospatial analytics experience
  • Archer & MPDT ( Medicare Plan Design Tool) experience
  • Data automation and process design experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • We support a hybrid work environment. If selected and you live near a suitable work location, you may be expected to comply with the hybrid work policy. Under the policy, all hires for in-scope populations should be placed into a hybrid or office-based location, working onsite three days a week. Aetna Service Operations office/hub locations will be discussed with the selected candidate

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
