ABOUT THE TEAM

The Protective Intelligence (PI) team at Anduril leads the charge in safeguarding our executives and executive operations through proactive threat identification and mitigation. We build and operate a mature PI program structured around seven key pillars: Threat Intake & Triage for centralized concern handling; Threat Monitoring & Collection for continuous open-source and social media surveillance; Assessment & Analysis for structured threat evaluations; Protective Intelligence Reporting for actionable insights; Operational Intelligence Support for real-time mission assistance; Case Management & Continuity for tracking persons/groups of concern; and Program Governance & Design for ethical oversight and metrics. Our mission is to anticipate and neutralize risks in the defense technology landscape, enabling Anduril's innovative work while protecting our people and mission from evolving global threats.

ABOUT THE JOB

As the Lead Analyst, Protective Intelligence at Anduril Industries, you will be responsible for core analytical and operational functions within our Protective Intelligence program. You will drive threat monitoring, assessments, and reporting to support executive safety and risk management, blending intelligence analysis with real-time support for high-stakes operations. This role is critical to maintaining our security posture in a dynamic defense environment, focusing on threats from state actors, ideological groups, and global instability. You will report to the Manager of Protective Intelligence within our Corporate Security organization, based in Costa Mesa, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design and execute threat monitoring using OSINT and social listening tools to support the Executive Protection team and Protective Intelligence program.
  • Track and synthesize domestic and global developments, including protests, political unrest, diplomatic tensions, and nation-state activities impacting Anduril's personnel, operations, or leadership
  • Contribute to structured threat assessments and analyses, evaluating actors, intent, capability, behavioral indicators, and escalation pathways aligned with the program's pillars
  • Support the PI Manager in the development of intelligence products, such as spot reports, risk profiles, and briefs, maintaining clear implications and recommended protective measures for executives and stakeholders
  • Provide operational intelligence support, including pre-mission briefs, real-time monitoring during executive movements or events, and assistance to EP, GSOC, investigations, and crisis response teams
  • Manage case continuity for persons or groups of concern, performing cross-case pattern recognition, longitudinal analysis, and ensuring smooth handoffs with investigations, HR, Legal, and EP
  • Contribute to program governance by contributing to the development of SOPs, escalation paths, and metrics while staying aligned with ethical standards and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Legal, Cybersecurity, Government Affairs, and external partners to integrate geopolitical risk into enterprise strategy and continuity planning
  • Participate in scenario planning and threat forecasting sessions to enhance organizational resilience against defense-sector specific risks, such as AI arms race or foreign interference
  • Maintain liaison relationships with federal, military, and international security partners to enhance threat intelligence sharing
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Security Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in protective intelligence or threat assessment roles supporting executives
  • Demonstrated expertise in OSINT tools, social media monitoring, and geopolitical risk analysis
  • Strong knowledge of threat assessment principles, including behavioral indicators and escalation pathways
  • Experience producing analytical reports and briefs for executive audiences
  • Proficiency in crisis management and real-time operational support
  • Exceptional analytical writing, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Flexibility in schedule management, prioritization of tasks, and adaptability to rapidly changing environments
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background in protective intelligence, corporate security, military intelligence, diplomatic security, think tanks, or defense policy
  • Experience with SaaS platforms for threat monitoring (e.g., Dataminr, Liferaft)
  • Strong project management skills and experience building intelligence programs
  • Familiarity with AI and defense sector sensitivities, including geopolitical forecasting
  • Adept at working in fast-paced environments and making sound decisions under pressure
