The GEOINT Analyst provides geospatial intelligence analysis and production in support of SMDC staff priorities, enabling situational awareness, threat understanding, and operational decision-making across space and missile defense mission sets.
The GEOINT Analyst exploits imagery and geospatial data to identify, characterize, and assess facilities, infrastructure, and activity patterns; produces GEOINT products (e.g., annotated imagery, maps, change detection, target graphics, and geospatial assessments); and maintains analytic continuity through clear documentation and repeatable methods. The analyst collaborates with all-source and INT-specific teams to refine requirements, integrate GEOINT with other intelligence streams, and deliver timely, customer-ready briefings and written products in accordance with applicable tradecraft and standards.

  • Perform feature identification, facility/infrastructure characterization, and activity-based and change detection analysis.
  • Produce GEOINT deliverables (e.g., annotated imagery, imagery reports, maps/overlays, target graphics, and geospatial assessments) to customer standards and timelines.
  • Integrate GEOINT with other intelligence reporting to improve confidence, context, and operational relevance.
  • Maintain target/issue continuity by documenting methodology, assumptions, sourcing, and analytic judgments; update working aids and reference products.
  • Provide briefs and written products to Government leads and mission stakeholders; respond to RFIs and shifting priorities.

  • Working knowledge of GEOINT tradecraft (sourcing, accuracy, confidence statements, and documentation of assumptions/limitations).
  • Ability to communicate results clearly in written products and briefings; able to meet production timelines.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Experience:
  • Experience supporting an Army, Joint, or IC mission with time-sensitive production and shifting requirements (staff environment preferred).
