Job description

Apogee is seeking a All-Source Intelligence Analyst to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) staff. This position integrates information from multiple intelligence disciplines to produce timely, actionable assessments that enable planning and decision-making across SMDC space and missile defense missions. The analyst delivers senior-level tradecraft, provides analytic continuity, and produces high-quality written products and briefings for Government leadership and mission stakeholders.

 

This is a full-time opportunity at Petterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO.

****Contingent Upon Contract Award****


  • Produce finished all-source intelligence (assessments, executive summaries, briefs, and RFI responses) in support of SMDC staff priorities and operational planning.
  • Fuse reporting from multiple INTs (e.g., SIGINT, GEOINT, MASINT, OSINT, HUMINT, open-source technical/industry reporting) to assess adversary capabilities, intent, and activity.
  • Maintain situational awareness and provide indications & warning (I&W) and trend analysis relevant to space and missile defense threats.
  • Evaluate source credibility and information reliability; apply structured analytic techniques and document assumptions, confidence, and gaps.
  • Develop and maintain target/issue continuity (baselines, chronologies, orders of battle, and reference products) to support repeatable analysis.
  • Coordinate with INT-specific analysts, collectors, and mission partners to refine requirements, close information gaps, and improve analytic outcomes.
  • Brief senior leaders and stakeholders; tailor technical findings for non-technical audiences while preserving analytic rigor.
  • Perform peer review/quality checks to ensure products meet tradecraft and style standards.

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen 
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) adjudication
Education: Bachelors Degree
Years of Experience: 12+ years all-source intelligence analysis experience (DoD/IC/military/contractor) producing finished intelligence for operational or strategic customers.

Additional Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience integrating multiple intelligence disciplines to develop defensible assessments (capabilities, intent, course of action, trends).
  • Strong knowledge of analytic tradecraft (sourcing, evaluation, alternative analysis, confidence statements, and documentation of assumptions/limitations).
  • Proven ability to deliver concise, customer-ready written products and briefings under tight deadlines in a high-tempo environment.
  • Experience supporting staff-level customers (e.g., Army/Joint/CCMD/strategic headquarters) and responding to dynamic RFIs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Experience:

  • Prior experience supporting SMDC or space/missile defense mission sets (threat missile systems, hypersonics, strategic forces, associated infrastructure).
  • Experience producing or contributing to I&W and operational decision support products in a watchfloor or staff environment.
  • Familiarity with collection management/requirements processes and experience translating analytic gaps into collection recommendations.
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts and leading peer review/QA across a production team.
  • Experience using analytic tools for link analysis, timeline/chronology development, and structured analytic techniques (tool-agnostic).
