Immediate Openings | Travel Required

LightPath Engineering is looking for reliable, detail-driven Field Engineers to support a fast-paced fiber documentation initiative. Youโ€™ll play a key role in expanding broadband access by verifying and mapping telecom infrastructure at MDUs, MTUs, and SFUs. This is meaningful, on-the-ground workโ€”and weโ€™re ready for you to join the team!

Our most urgent need is in the Mid-West, where multiple active sites are ready for immediate deployment. But this is just the beginning. Once this project wraps, more will follow across the U.S. So if youโ€™re someone who thrives on the road, enjoys purposeful work, and wants to be part of a team that truly cares, this could be your next great adventure.

Youโ€™ll spend your days in the field documenting aerial and underground fiber and copper routes, collecting geo-tagged photos, and building site summaries we can stand behind. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Just bring a sharp eye, solid follow-through, and a strong sense of ownership.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing:

  • Surveying existing copper and fiber routes to buildings
  • Capturing high-quality geo-tagged photos of DTAPs, TMLs, poles, pedestals, manholes, lockboxes, and more
  • Accurately documenting both aerial and underground infrastructure
  • Verifying units, addresses, and connection points at each location
  • Reporting findings using our photo app and Monday.com

What Youโ€™ll Need to Succeed:

  • Previous experience in telecom or utility fieldwork
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Comfort navigating outdoor terrain and varying conditions
  • Reliable transportation and valid driverโ€™s license
  • Smartphone with photo-taking capability
  • Willingness to travel between job sites and across state lines
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines and field standards
