OverviewThis position will be located in Bentonville/Fayetteville, Arkansas.The RFID Lab at Auburn University is looking for motivated, hard-working, and detail-oriented employee from various disciplines to perform RFID in-store testing and audits. This position will primarily involve fieldwork at partner locations. Fieldwork includes activities such as: RFID tag audits, barcode audits, RFID cycle counts.

- Perform data collection tests to investigate the performance of large-scale RFID deployments.
- RFID tagging items in a retail environment and then doing tests with a RFID reader to determine the quality and readability of the tags.
- Perform in-store barcode/inventory audits.
- May occasionally participate in in-lab demonstrations and testing
- Occasionally travel to partner locations outside of the Bentonville/Fayetteville area.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Understanding of RFID components (tags, readers, antennas, frequencies-UHF/HF) and how they function in real-world environments.
- Ability to properly tag merchandise and ensure accurate encoding for optimal readability.
- Ability to follow test protocols in live environments without disrupting store operations.
- Attention to detail
