Job Summary:
Unlimited Technology, Inc. is a premier cyber and physical security specialty contractor, committed to delivering cutting-edge technology solutions. They are seeking a Physical Security System Administrator to support Federal Physical Security Access Control and Video systems, requiring strong technical support skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support for system platform with associated components and environments. To include Installing/rebuilding servers and workstations; configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and projection/operational requirements.
• Provide hands-on support with Windows enterprise server administration (2022/2025), as well as Windows 11, including patching/updates of systems and System builds
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Investigating, troubleshooting, and fixing hardware and software availability and performance issues
• Support operation of software applications and databases.
• Administer user account properties, single sign-on, and network security configurations.
• Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5 plus years of experience providing technical support to software application
• Proven experience with Windows Administration, to include but not limited working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems
• Windows Domain Controllers and domain administration
• WSUS administration and operation
• Windows Hyper-V operation
• Active Directory administration
• Group Policy administration
• DNS administration
• Demonstrated proficiency in new technologies
• Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills, particularly in technical areas
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Physical Security System’s experience (Gallagher, Genetec, Lenel, Software House, etc)
• Configure, and manage systems such as Gallagher Access Control system software
• Configure, and manage systems such as Milestone Systems
• Compliance efforts including writing policies and/or documenting processes
Preferred:
• A degree in a computer-related field is not required, although relevant coursework and/or experience is preferred
• Exposure to basic LAN concepts
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and other network protocols
• Aptitude for and willingness to learn new technologies
