Job description

Genesis Capital (the "Company") is one of the largest business purpose lenders in the country, focused on providing commercial real estate financing solutions to real estate developers who buy, renovate, and sell single-family and/or multi-family residential real estate. The Company is a subsidiary of Rithm Capital (parent company), a publicly traded mortgage real estate investment trust.
Credit Underwriter: Analyze clients' financial information to evaluate their potential for lending opportunities and perform comprehensive analysis to access creditworthiness and determine the risk associated with loan applications. Work directly with clients and internal teams to obtain relevant documentation to evaluate the underlying project (collateral) as well as perform financial analysis of the borrower and guarantor(s). Prepare credit memorandums and analysis to outline the lending opportunity's key risks and mitigating factors including economic conditions and client operations. Use Microsoft Excel to create charts, graphs, and models that summarize findings and incorporate graphical analysis into presentations of credit memorandum for Credit Management's review and approval. Ensure Genesis Capital maintains strong credit quality in line with its policies and procedures and assist with ensuring that financial systems, fundamental recordkeeping, and financial reporting are compliant with legal requirements. Stay abreast of the latest developments in the commercial real estate and finance industries to ensure that Genesis Capital maintains strong credit quality.
Requirements: The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Applied Economics or related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in complex real estate lending and loan structuring, pro-forma financial statements and NOI/DSCR analysis, Microsoft Suite, and database applications for pipeline management.
40 hours/week.
Salary range: $90,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
