Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
RN/LPN is responsible for providing care to clients to include but not limited to, administering medication, taking vitals, assessing medical needs.
Essential Duties:
  • Assisting with the taking and recording of daily client vital signs and assessments
  • Administering medications and treatments as per provider protocol
  • Assisting with client admissions and discharges
  • Recording client observations and reporting to the medical team as needed
  • Compassionately interacting with the client population to encourage engagement in treatment
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
  • Attending staff trainings and meetings as required by the employer
  • Communicating with the pharmacy as needed
  • Completing client nursing admissions not limited to: intake surveys, blood draws, TB testing, GeneSight swabbing
  • Follows all policies and procedures with regard to client information protection, including alcohol-drug client confidentiality and HIPAA
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current unrestricted licensure in TN (as required by facility) as an RN or LPN.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written
  • Ability to work with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience working with people in recovery and/or in mental health treatment a plus
